Plecing kangkung is a typical Indonesian cuisine originating from Lombok. Plecing kangkung consists of boiled kale and served in a cool and fresh condition with tomato sauce, made from cayenne pepper, salt, terasi and tomato, and sometimes dripping with lemon juice.
As a companion Chicken taliwang, plecing kangkung usually served with additional vegetables such as bean sprouts, long beans, fried peanuts, or urap.
Plecing kangkung you can meet in almost all restaurants. One of the most famous is the "Dua-EM bersaudara" located on Transmigration Road 99 Mataram.
Kangkung used for this dish is also very distinctive, unlike vegetable kangkung plants that are common in Java, but water spinach is usually grown in a river that flows by a certain method, which produces spinach with a crisp large bars.
